The Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSPNP) regularly searches the IRCC’s Express Entry pool to find candidates who may meet the criteria of one of Nova Scotia’s Express Entry immigration streams. The NSPNP collects individuals from the Express Entry Pool to personally invite them to live and work in Nova Scotia.

November 7, 2022 Nova Scotia PNP Draw
Candidates for this NSPNP draw must:
- Have selected French as their first official language and have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 10 or higher in French in all language abilities.
- Have English as a second official language with a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 7 or higher in English in all language abilities.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institutes.
- Include copies of both language tests and proof of education with your application. Proof of education must include an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report issued by an organization designated by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada if your educational credential was obtained outside of Canada.
- Apply no later than 11:59 p.m. Dec. 7, 2022.
February 8, 2022 Nova Scotia PNP Draw
Nurses
- Have a primary occupation of registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC 3012)
- Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have 3 years of experience as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse.
- Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 9 or higher in English or French in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by IRCC
- Hold a bachelor’s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
- Apply no later than 11:59 pm March 10, 2022
October 7, 2021 Nova Scotia PNP Draws
Job Offer Draw
- have a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer for full-time skilled work in Nova Scotia that lasts at least one year after your permanent resident visa is issued (full-time means working year-round and at least 30 hours a week)
- have 1 year of skilled work experience related to the job
- have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent
- Prove language ability in English at Canadian Language Benchmark 5
- Apply no later than 11:59 pm on November 6, 2021
Documents you must provide with your application include:
- Copies of language tests
- Proof of education
- A job offer showing the following:
- Title and duties of the position related to the job offer
- Position NOC Code
- Annual salary
- Number of weekly hours
- Duration of job offer
- Address where you will work
- Whether the position is unionized (If yes, attach a letter indicating union concurrence)
Carpenter Draw
- Have a primary occupation of carpenter (NOC 7271)
- Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have two or more years of skilled trades experience as a carpenter. (Self-employed individuals must provide documentation from 3rd parties indicating the service provided along with payment details. Self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable evidence of work experience)
- Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 5 or higher in English in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing your results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
- Apply no later than 11:59 pm on November 6, 2021.
March 29, 2021 Nova Scotia PNP Draw
- Have selected French as their first official language and have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 9 or higher in French in all language abilities.

- Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 9 or higher in English in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.*

- Provide letters of reference from employers, as outlined in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have three or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in NOC 2174 within the five years preceding the application.
- Have at least one year of experience in NOC O, A or B in Canada.
- Have a Canadian Language Benchmark score of 7 or higher in English in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. *
- Hold a bachelor’s degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.*
- Apply no later than 11:59 p.m. Nov. 21, 2020.
